My blackspot seems to get worse year on year why is this?

The bacteria like every other lifeform likes to breed and multiply and areas of your beautiful stone patio can soon spread from one area in a damp corner across the entire patio/driveway within a few years. Trying to remove just with a karcher style pressure washer with water pressure only will really struggle to make any impact on it this and ideally requires a professional approach to remove it to satisfactory results.

Our approach using Professional strength grade chemicals and machinery can really help tackle this stubborn patio problem although it may take a few treatments to remove depending on the type of surface you have and the amount of years it has been on the surface digging itself into the stone.

Can you guarantee to remove it in one treatment?

In many cases we achieve between 80%-100% removal with one professionally applied treatment but we cannot guarantee this and each client is advised accordingly depending on how bad the black spot infection is. In many cases clients are very happy with the results after 1 treatment but we have also had surfaces require 3 treatments although this is rare. To summarise simply is to say the longer you leave it on the harder it will be to remove.

What is your advice on how to avoid bacteria build up?

We always come back to the little and often method advising regular routine maintenance cleans this keeps the surface not only clean and slip free but its not allowing the bacteria to sit long enough on the surface for it to dig in to the stone. Every few cleans a light chemical wash will really help and keep your surface investment safe and looking good.
